This isn't just product iteration. It's a fundamental reframing of how we're supposed to relate to machines. When Google touts that its microphone stays active between exchanges, complete with "visual indicators" to show Gemini is listening, they're not describing a voice interface. They're describing the mechanics of human conversation — the pause, the acknowledgment, the readiness to continue.
